Change Food Fest Livestream Party

Join FOUND Forgotten Food and FEED NOVA SCOTIA at the wonderful Blue Apples Arts and Wellness Centre as we livestream a day of talks and discussions from the 2016 Change Food Fest in NYC. Come for one or get cozy and stay for all of the sessions!

This year’s Change Food Fest “Growing the Good Food Movement” will explore topics surrounding this change – from how business is changing to companies who are doing it right – to people who are creating massive change without the billions of dollars of investment money going into startups. Rather than simply talk about problems, we will actively look at solutions that are leading us to the sustainable food system we wish to see. Our focus will be on both real and visionary solutions.

11:30-1:30pm – Session 1 “The Changing Business of Food” – How we shop, eat and dine is changing. In this session, we’ll explore this change and some of the impacts on our food. Featuring speakers from The Good Food Institute, New Crop Capital, Food-X, Arabella Advisors, A Well-Fed World, Niman Ranch, and more!

2:50-4:45pm – Session 2 “Business Doing it Right” – As more entrepreneurs enter the marketplace, more companies are looking toward safe, healthy, delicious food. Meet some who are doing it right and are part of the force behind today’s food system change. Featuring speakers from Le Pain Quotidien, Dig Inn, Edenworks Farmlab and HQ, JetBlue, Sir Kensington’s, Everytable, and more!

5:35-7:00pm – Session 3 “Real Change Right Now” – There are people you might not know, working on a grassroots level, who are not only growing and providing food, they are bolstering local economies and saving lives. Meet some of them. These are the real rockstars of today. Featuring speakers from A Growing Culture, FarmOn Foundation, Harlem Grown, and more!

We hope you will join us to learn and chat with like-minded folks! Donations to FOUND Forgotten Food and FEED NOVA SCOTIA (monetary, non-perishable food items, and/or fresh produce) gratefully accepted.
