FOUND collects forgotten food from farms, farmers’ markets, and locally owned gardens. If you are looking to purchase food from FOUND, there are a few ways you can do so:
- Fresh produce – FOUND receives food sporadically and most is donated to local food banks (check out our stats here). However, sometimes food needs to be cooked ASAP and cannot go to the food bank. If you are a restaurant/cafe/business you can be added to our contact list to be notified when this food becomes available. Help us reduce food waste by adding forgotten food to your menu!
- Preserved food – FOUND sometimes receives food that must be preserved immediately. This is done by freezing, canning, or cooking. If you are a restaurant/cafe/business/or individual looking to purchase preserved forgotten food you can contact us directly to see what we have available. Currently we have strawberry jam (strawberries came from the food bank – check it out here) and granola using spent grains from Good Robot Brewing Co. (check that out here).
