FOUND Forgotten Food is a 100% volunteer-powered organization focused on reducing food waste in Nova Scotia.
FOUND volunteers reduce food waste by harvesting (‘gleaning’) leftover food from local NS farms and directly donating to local food banks and community organizations. We have over 250 harvest volunteers and have community groups operating in three different areas of Nova Scotia: Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Kings County, and Cumberland County.
Since our inception in 2016, FOUND has been entirely supported by grants, fundraising events, and individual donations. Any and all financial support is greatly appreciated.
