Partnering with FOUND

The Community Harvest Program (CHP) is a FOUND program aimed at tackling food waste by creating a direct relationships between producers and those who are food insecure. We currently operate in Halifax, the Annapolis Valley, and Bridgewater.

We connect farmers with local volunteers to harvest and/or pick up any produce that might otherwise go to waste, and instead distribute that produce to those in need (local food banks, community groups, school programs, etc.).

We are a volunteer-led project that has no cost to you as a farmer.

Notably, farmers are eligible for the Food Bank Tax Credit for any produce that is donated to a registered food bank.
